During the Traumatic Aid course you will learn the different types and stages of an emergency.
The topics will include:
• Ballistics
• Injury assessment
• Basic airway management
• Bleeding management
• First Aid Kits
This course will focus heavily on stopping blood loss which is one of the most preventable leading causes of death in the field. Students will learn how to correctly use pressure bandages, tourniquets, and haemostatic agents (Quikclot).
Who should take this course: Any lay-person (non healthcare professional) who is interested in learning how best to help victims of trauma (gunshot wounds and blast injuries).
